Seminar was organized by the Public Association of Women with Disabilities SHYRAK and was a part of the program's action plan on providing support for employment of people with disabilities. The seminar was at support of US General Consulate in Almaty.
The main purpose of the seminar was to teach the basic skills of entrepreneurships, including strategic planning, marketing, accountancy, asset management, sales and etc.
The target group included the wide range of entrepreneurs with disabilities, as well as representatives of small and medium business owners running a business and NGO organizations, that on regular basis give employment or educate people with disabilities.
Representatives of diverse business sphere took participation as facilitators of the seminar along with the support organizations of the development of entrepreneurship such as: JSC "Entrepreneurship Development Fund" Damu ", Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty, the Company Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC), the MFI KMF-Demeu, LLP" First Credit Bureau »(First Credit Bureau), company Procter & Gamble, Company" School of Business Training "Consulting company CORTEX.
Furthermore, Ms. Andji Agarval an international expert, researcher, businesswoman with disabilities delivered her speech at the seminar on availability and human rights of people with disabilities in India.
The first discussion of the seminar covered the subject of business/ entrepreneurs development among the people with disabilities. Active participation took Zaure Magsurova, Director of the department of international collaboration and distant consulting fund “DAMU”; Teressa Grensik, General Consul, USA; Kuat Dambay, Head of HR department at JSC Kazkommertsbank; Artur Kotenev, Director of Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty , Lyazzat Kaltayeva, Chairman of Association of women with disabilitis Shyrak; Gulzira Amanturlina, Director of Charity fund Eldani.
On 20 March, during the whole day participants of the seminar from Almaty, Toldykorgan, Issyk, Shelek and other cities were having the work-outs at short sessions and master classes, targeting the most relevant issues regarding private industry:

Getting and using the loan properly;
Support program for business owners;
Accounting: requirments for taxes and reporting;
Basics of setting up the business; where to have and how to start;
Marketing: How to find and keep your customers;
Participants had a great opportunity to get to know with international experience on supporting business-owners with disabilities through the example of Ms. Andjli Agarval – the researcher and consultant on availability and human rights of people with disabilities in India.
According to the Chairman of Association of woman with disabilities Shyrak, Lyazzat Kaltayeva emphasized the uniqueness of the seminar that provided the opportunity for entrepreneurs with disabilities to gather together and share the experience as well as obtain new skills and knowledge with the representatives of business structures, microcredit organizations and representatives of the support programs.
The process itself has broaden whole layer of people living with disabilities, while actively deciding on their well-being through the conduct of its own affairs and forming an invisible until this whole segment of the market in Kazakhstan.
Recall, that the workshop was launched on March 19, 2015, and one of the goals of the workshop was to strengthen the capacity of entrepreneurs with disabilities by enhancing their knowledge in achieving sustainability and profitability of their business, as well as raising awareness about the problems in this area.
